Principe Real

Yesterday I went out to lunch with my mother and sister and my mother took us to "Fabrico Infinito". It's a store with lots of different transformed chandeliers and also a little coffee in the back, with a wonderful terrace. It's not cheap, but it's nice to hang on away from the city buzz.

Internacional

It was a very international week. From the Mariage Frères tea that my mother offered me and bought in Moy - Rua D. Pedro V, 111 - (that I still hadn’t the time to taste, but pretend to do so this week-end), the yarn that arrived from USA and the Japan trip confirmation (which we really are going to do in September), it was a week opened to the world. Really nice was my luch yesterday with my mother and sister in a shop that sells modified candlesticks and that in the back has a beautiful terrace. The only drawback is that only has quiches and related ... Meanwhile the misery for my credit card was that I already discovered many craft stores in Tokyo!
Well, here is my order as expected. These yarns came directly from New York, Purl Soho and are for a baby blanket I saw here. I choose myself the colors with no regret (did not want anything very male or female). For the first time I'll try to cast on myself (and not ask my mother) and for this reason I found these tutorial (which I hope can help me!). The best part is that this yarn can go to the washing machine, but with the red colors is best to add distilled white vinegar in the first washing to grab the color.

The bag is a pattern from Burda and it's excellent a grocery bag or even to go to the beach. The great advantage is that I finally used a ribbon from my favorite jewelery (Branca de Brito). I liked the pattern so much that I'm already doing some more.

And so that you don't think that I'm only interested in agriculture, the sewing machine has been into some use. These are the bibs from Carolinas's order (actually she only ordered two and I got carried away). Hope she likes them.

Country side

The bird house was made by my husband and now is already surrounded by the olive branch. It may be that someone will finally live in it (a bird I mean...).

When I saw these courgetes offered to my mother, first I thought they were mutants. Like some kind of super hero. But then .I realized... they were naturally grown...

What nice raspberries my father has planted. I already took some (and ate them of course) and now we are praying for the cranberry's to grow. The funny thing is that I had just read the book "The truth about food" (from BBC series) and only says good about eating red fruits.

My grandparent’s home is super. Besides not having a mobile phone network (which is great for shutting from the outside world) there is a whole world in growth. From the apple trees to raspberries is great to see that everything grows. Despite the enormous heat (and my father effort for watering everything) I believe in September we will have not only the famous grapes, but also many apples, plums and diospiros.
