Country side

A casa dos pássaros foi feita pelo meu marido e neste momento já está rodeada pelos ramos de oliveira. Pode ser que finalmente venha alguém morar nela (um pássaro, claro...).

The bird house was made by my husband and now is already surrounded by the olive branch. It may be that someone will finally live in it (a bird I mean...).

Quando vi estas courgetes que ofereceram à minha mãe, ainda pensei que fossem mutantes. Tipo super herói. Mas depois percebi....são mesmo é do campo e crescem de forma natural...
When I saw these courgetes offered to my mother, first I thought they were mutants. Like some kind of super hero. But then .I realized... they were naturally grown...


Que ricas framboesas que o meu pai plantou. Já se colhem algumas e agora estamos a rezar para que os mirtilhos ao lado também se desenvolvam. O mais giro é que tinha acabado de ler o livro "A verdade sobre os alimentos" (o guia da série da BBC), que só diz bem dos frutos vermelhos. Agora é que vai ser...

What nice raspberries my father has planted. I already took some (and ate them of course) and now we are praying for the cranberry's to grow. The funny thing is that I had just read the book "The truth about food" (from BBC series) and only says good about eating red fruits.

A casa dos meus avós é super. Além de não se ter rede de telemóvel (o que é óptimo para desligar do mundo exterior) existe um mundo inteiro em crescimento. Desde as macieiras às framboesas é óptimo ver que tudo cresce. Embora o enorme calor (e o esforço do meu pai para regar tudo) penso que em Setembro vamos ter não só as famosas uvas, mas também muitas maçãs, ameixas e diospiros.
My grandparent’s home is super. Besides not having a mobile phone network (which is great for shutting from the outside world) there is a whole world in growth. From the apple trees to raspberries is great to see that everything grows. Despite the enormous heat (and my father effort for watering everything) I believe in September we will have not only the famous grapes, but also many apples, plums and diospiros.
